Wetlands are ecosystems in which the ground is often or always wet. They serve as a home to a wide variety of species. They’re also critical to the world’s water supply, naturally filtering water and replenishing drinking water sources. In our wetlands, there is very little, if any, forestry activity. Chemicals are kept far from wetlands under our best management practices. The trees grow without being planted, naturally reseed themselves, and the life cycle continues.
